Cheylah's Doe, Murphy's Law Farm Caliope had twins 2/9/2010 bout 4PM. I Buckling, Dark Agouti with black Stockings, waddles. One Doeling Medium Agouti, black stockings, only white star and white points. Really cute. Buck: Rowley's Renegades Jack Daniels. First Time momma...rejected them, so they are my babies now. Doing well. Doe: Lil' Oasis Kid's Sweety Pie (nfs), Buck: Lil' Oasis Kid's Cupid.

New Members of the Family

As a newer breeder and member of the NPGA association, I was slowly building our herd 'Lil' Oasis Kids', we're expecting our first Herd Registered babies anyday, and have been acquiring some does with different pedigree's, then last week I came across a deal I couldn't pass up. A registered Herd was being reduced and so I acquired 6 does and a wether. They come from a good line of Pygmy Goats Little Edens and Whirlwind farms from California. The Does have very nice confirmation and I am hopeful that they will be a good addition to our herd. They have been well taken care of and already blend nicely with my herd. We are happy they are here. We plan on taking 3 of them to the April show.

Miserably Pregnant

Brooke, our unregistered doe (carmel), and Diesel (Black), registered and carrying the first Lil' Oasis Kids are miserably pregant. Diesel is due 3/18 and Brooke is due between now and early April. Hang in their girls! I'm guessing Brooke has at least triplets, and Diesel, twins for sure.

Sweet Little Pearl, loves to jump on anything, takes her a few tries, but she will eventually make it, then she loves to jump off onto her mother's back. She is a lot of entertainment.

First Babies of 2009!

Emma Jean, one of my rescue does, gave birth to twin girls, 2/11 all by herself, this is her third birth. Little Pearl,below, and Jewell, above, are doing great. These are our first babies out of Rowley's Renegades Jack Daniels.

We have two more unregistered does and two registered does to kid this year.

In Loving Memory--Night Star Ring of Fire Grand Champion Wether

Night Star Ring of Fire (Ringo) who came to us this summer, won his first Grand Champion Wether Award at the Harvest Happenings Rocky Mountain Pygmy Goat Club Show 9/13/08. We had him for sale until he won. Guess he's with us to stay. He's quite a character and will fit in here fairly well.

Sadly we lost Ringo to Urniary Calculi, kidney stones in male goats, in February 2009. He was a good dear friend to us and we miss him dearly.

Harvest Happenings RMPGA 9/13-9/14 '08

This was our Second Goat Show, Rocky Mountain Pygmy Goat Show, and I have to say we made a marked improvement from the first one. We've learned a lot from our fellow competators and got on a much better feeding program. JD looked tons better and placed 4th in both Buck Shows. Rebel placed 1st in both his classes, but didn't make overall grand, but we still love him, even if he does stink.

Cheylah showed in showmanship both days and Won first place both times. She is getting to be quite the showman. Braden showed both day's and for a 3 year old did very well. He's able to show without mom out there now.

Agatha, showing off with her little jumps and kicks placed second in her classes both days. There were 8 in each class and she is a stand out. I'm excited to see how she does over the winter. We'll be taking her to the April show.

Caliope is coming along well too, she just needs some time to grow.
